Melvin Upton, as awful as he is, is far more valuable than James Loney right now.

This is horrible. What do the Rays need another outfielder for? Especially a horrible one who they can't afford. And brewers are rebuilding, why would they trade prospects for one year of James loney?

At this point, you could use Upton at 1st base and he'll likely be better than Loney.

Outside of being a cheap contract, Loney offers next to nothing for any team out there.
