I know this will probably never happen but what do you guys think

White Sox:Anderson Espinoza, Blake Swihart, Henry Owens and Pat Lightp

Red Sox: Chris Sale.

This really won't happen. Red Sox have one of the top systems in baseball. Their top names would have to be included. Its terrible.

The words "Yoan Moncada" would have to be uttered for the Red Sox to acquire Chris Sale, amongst other big named prospects.

Sale is a stud, to be sure.

But, this package would get talks started. Espinoza and Owens could be a good SP duo in a couple of years, and Swihart may turn out to be a very good catcher. Sox may have to give up a Devers or Moncada or such, but it could be done.

White sox trade: Sale
Red Sox trade: Eduardo Rodriguez, Christian Vazquez, Moncada, Benintendi, Anderson Espinoza PTBNL.

Obviously he isn't going cheap but the Red Sox aren't going to spend $63 million dollars on a player with no MLB experience to trade him away the next season. Moncada is an untouchable in every Red Sox trade.

Which is why they won't land a major upgrade via trade on their rotation. Every team is going to ask for him, and the Red Sox will get passed up on guys like Gray, Fernandez, Sale (should any of them become available) without Moncada Or they'll be forced to give up a worse package with Bogaerts or Betts.

Teams with stud pitchers are going to demand a king's ransom. A king's ransom from Boston will include Yoan Moncada. End of story.

No Moncada no Sale. Can we drop this? It's going to take 4-5 elite prospects to get him. No one is on a team friendlier deal than him no team will give up that. Barely any have that many.
