A couple possible Lucroy trades:

Twins get: Lucroy
Brewers: Miguel Sano + Kohl Stewart

Rangers get: Lucroy
Brewers get: Lewis Brinson + Yohander Mendez

Mariners get: Lucroy
Brewers get: Edwin Diaz, Alex Jackson, Braden Bishop

Nationals get: Lucroy
Brewers get: A. J. Cole, Reynaldo Lopez, Victor Robles

A Lucroy trade will likely consist of 1 MAJOR prospect and a couple middle-to-upper level prospects.

Anything less is unrealistic.

twins say no, i thin the rangers could offer better, maybe the mariners, the nationals don't really need lucroy.

I think the Twins would say no as well, but it's what the Brewers would likely ask in return considering their organizational needs.

I thought about Gallo from Texas, but Texas has been pretty bullish on him. They probably could offer more or better.

The Mariners package was by far the worst of the four.

The Nationals were rumored to be in on Lucroy for a while, and even with Ramos playing well, I think he'll return to normal. But they are the least likely.

Twins would pass IMO.

4.) 12 May 2016
12 May 2016 05:18:27
They probably would. I would too, if I were the Twins. But then I probably don't have a realistic package that lands Lucroy.

The Nats would not take Lucroy without giving up Ramos. The Nats wouldn't carry 3 catchers: Ramos, Lucroy, Lobaton. Also, the package for Lucroy is more than two prospects, IF 4 top 50-ish prospects isn't enough.

I would imagine the twins would have to give up Berrios if not sano.

Why even bring Minnesota into this? They have no interest in trading any of their young talents for a soon to be 30 years old catcher who will be a free agent after next year.

The only reason, and I mean the only reason Minnesota would even consider trading any young of their talents is if they get an even better young player who is under contract for many seasons.

8.) 14 May 2016

Because they are both a team that could use a catcher and have the young talent to acquire Lucroy.

This isn't that difficult, Carl.

Jerk, you live up to your name.

Teams looking to acquire Lucroy are either on the verge on contending or are contending. Twins have the worst record in baseball.

Milwaukee getting any if Minnesota's top young talent is a wet dream on your part.

10.) 14 May 2016
14 May 2016 13:07:25
Fact: The Twins were a contending team last year.
Fact: They have the exact same core + young talent ready to help out.
Fact: Their catcher situation is putrid.

In light of those three, Jonathan Lucroy made some sense to Minnesota. Thus, I included them.

Your logical reasoning skills must have peaked when the Twins peaked.

Just stop. Twins are going to keep that young talent for 5+ years each rather than trade even 1 for a year and a half of a short term fix.

Let's face it, you looked at teams who need help at catcher and want their best young talent with 0 regard to how that team operates.

12.) 14 May 2016
14 May 2016 13:27:27
I don't "want" anything, Carl. I'm not a Brewers fan.

And if you read any of my comments above, which you CLEARLY didn't, you'd see exactly what I've said about this

"I think the Twins would say no as well, but it's what the Brewers would likely ask in return considering their organizational needs. "

Teams do that. The Indians asked for stupid returns for Carlos Carrasco, knowing full well that the teams they asked don't operate that way. I figured, if the Twins went to the Brewers and asked for a catching upgrade, what would the Brewers ask for in return.

Again, this isn't that incredibly difficult.

Another gem of a quote, which you also failed to read, the whole conversation:

Hking: Twins would pass IMO.
theJerk (me) : They probably would. I would too, if I were the Twins. But then I probably don't have a realistic package that lands Lucroy.

Isn't reading comprehension wonderful?

14.) 14 May 2016

The Twins won't be calling the Brewers about Lucroy. Period. Brewers would be the ones calling the Twins and any mention of the Twins trading Sano, Stewart, Gordon, Buxton, Kepler, Berrios, or Jay would result is Terry Ryan hanging up the phone.

15.) 14 May 2016
14 May 2016 14:24:04
I can't imagine a team that has Kurt Suzuki and J. R. Murphy would NEVER. Period. Call about a potential catcher upgrade. Period.

And don't be so bullish on those prospects. The reality is, only 2 of the 7 will ever be average or better MLB players. I'm calling Berrios and Sano.

16.) 14 May 2016
14 May 2016 14:35:35
Somebody is upset over his team's 8-26 record.

There, there Carl. It'll all be alright.

17.) 14 May 2016
14 May 2016 14:38:02
I don't know how many times I can say this before it gets into your head. The Twins have spent the past 4 years building one of the top group of prospects and minor league systems in all of baseball. To trade even one of them for a short term gain is stupid and to even suggest the Twins would do so shows your lack of intelligence.

18.) 14 May 2016
14 May 2016 19:32:51
My entire post was a response to the people posting Lucroy trades. I suggested the asking price and included the Twins. Someone insulting another's intelligence should be able to infer such a thing.

I didn't realize this was a threat to your feelings. My bad.

19.) 14 May 2016
14 May 2016 19:54:05
Just including the Twins was stupid. That is what you are not understanding.

20.) 14 May 2016
14 May 2016 20:10:07
Sorry. I'll make sure not to hurt your feelings anymore.

Newsflash: Carl is REALLY sensitive about people talking about his Twins.

Carl i'm a twins fan too.
