Based on the price for Chapman's3 month rental announced earlier today you will have to add either Chris Shaw or Alberto Garcia plus another prospect. That might still be light for a closer with over a year plus of control.

Giants won't give up Beede for a marginal improvement in the bullpen.

They've said, on several occasions, that they'd rather take on salary than move top young players. They wouldn't pull this one off.

Unlikely the Giants give up their best AAA pitcher and their best starting pitcher prospect for a medium impact bullpen arm. Given how all of the Giants top prospects turn into very, very good players in the MLB.
