The more I think about it the Red Sox should not sign E. E

Red Sox sign Mark Trumbo

Trade:
BOS gets: Nava

KC gets: low level prospect.

Nava returns to Boston where his feel good story began and where he had one of the most productive seasons of his life.

Royals will have no need for him once they become fully healthy so he will be shopped or even DFAd

Lineup:
1. Padroia 2nd
2. Bogarts SS
3. Betts RF
4. Trumbo DH
5. Rameriz 1st
6. Bradley Jr. CF
7. Shaw 3rd
8. Leon C
9. Benittendi LF

Bench:
1. Vasquez C
2. Holt UTL
3. Young OF
4. Nava OF/ 1st/ DH

Rotation:
1. Price
2. Porcello
3. Pomerantz
4. Wright
5. Rodriguez

Bullpen:
1. Bucholtz
2. Ross Jr.
3. Scott
4. Abad
5. Smith
6. Kelly
7. Kimbral

What do you guys think?

Of course you have Nava in your post.

I'm starting the think you purposely misspell names in every post.

Ah, there you go sull I knew you couldn't go so many post without putting one of your man crushes in a post. Rather pointless trade though considering he could just be released, DFA'd, etc.

Also, where is Pablo Sandoval? The 54 million dollars left on his contract don't disappear that easily.

A a red sox fan (I am just guessing you are but I don't know why) you should know where he is.

On the 60 day DL, silly.

Sandoval's fat ass and fat salary will be back next year to take up space on the bench.

As for Trumbo, no.

I would much rather the Sox look at EE, if they think they need to bring in a hitter. He has been a consistent force for several years. No more than a three-year deal though.

Trumbo has had a nice year, but it is a career year. It is doubtful that it happens again.

They will just DFA/ release him mid way/ after sprint training unless he proves himself as useful again or if he rebounds try to trade him for something of some sort of value.

CS16 for once you are right about something! All I asked was where he was and I agree, if he doesn't perform after Spring Training he's gone one way or another.

Why would they release a good power threat in their lineup? Sull, you need to actually think a little bit.

If you had an over weight guy who was suppose to lose weight over the summer and didn't on your team would you waist a roster/ bench spot on him when you have much better options? I mean I am just guessing that you are a Twins fan, you can have him if you really want.

The fact is now that Moncada is up with the Red Sox, they have their 3rd baseman of the future. I suggest moving Shaw to first and Hanley DH. Thus Sandoval, one of the biggest mistake signings they have made, will be traded or DFA'd.
