Rockies offseason:

Sign Mark Malencon to 4yr/ 50 million deal

Why: The Rockies need a closer and Malencon is from Colorado, I sense a reunion here.

Resign Daniel Descalso to 2yr/ 8 million deal

Why: Rockies need depth and Descalso can play all around the diamond which is key.

Resign Mark Reynolds to 1yr/ 6 million deal

Why: Reynolds had a solid enough year to deserve another deal, and if it doesn't work out Cargo can move to first

Release Chad Qualls

Why: He did nothing all year and was awful out of the bullpen, he should not be brought back.

Resign Boone Logan to 2yr/ 14 million deal

Why: Logan was extremely solid the whole year as a left specialist and the Rockies should keep him.

Sign Arenado to 8yr/ 240 million deal

Not bad. I think the pitching staff both rotaion and bullpen will look a little better.

That lineup is okay, but that pitching staff needs work, especially the rotation. The Rox got to find help.
