Mets wouldn't trade Syndergaard for a prospect SS, who will eventually be a 3B. They would want a MLB ready SS for those two.

The only realistic trades for the Cubs will involve guys like Wood, Castillo, and Jackson or prospects in the bottom part of their Top 20 and lower.
