Not a Rumor per say,but. with both R.Sox and A's struggling thus far, opinions about Billy B. and Ben C. getting together and discussing the following.

Red Sox get: Sonny Gray

A's get: Xander Boegarts -or- Mookie Betts

*Would anyone see this deal take place?

Your going to need to add a lot more to that from the sox. Gray is the Athletics best pitcher and doesn't hit free agency till 2020.

There is no way that the Athletics do that. Gray is the best pitcher on that staff. If the Sox really want him you will definitely have to add a lot.

I don't see that happening at all. Gray is controllable which Beane likes. No need to trade him.

For a guy like Sonny Gray, I wouldn't be shocked if Beane demanded BOTH Bogaerts and Betts for Gray. and I think that might even be a low price.

Sinko26, Gray is 25, has a ridiculously team-friendly contract and is pre-arbitration and controllable through 2020. his return should be more than Hamels who is 31 and has a stupid high contract.
