Rest of Mets offseason:

Sign Matt Albers 2/9 million
Sign Kelly Johnson 2/13.5 million
Sign Denard Span 3/34 million with opt out after 2nd year.

NYM is loaded with middle INFs so I don't really see Kelly Johnson being a fit anymore.

Whats the point of Span's deal if he can opt out after year 2 of a 3 year deal. It should just then be a 2 year deal.

1) Kelly can play 5 positions proficiently so he would complement Duda as well as be a 5th outfielder/ utility man. Depth is a big thing so having someone who can play so many positions is really helpful.
2) Denard would get an opt out in year 2 incase he does really well where as if he missed some time in either year due to injury he'd have the 3rd to redeem himself. So really the 3rd year is for span if he needs it.
