Could this happen ?

Toronto gets: Gardner (salary payed by the yankees)
New york gets: Sean Reid-Foley

Probably not. Toronto has Pillar in CF and Joey Bats in right. Ezekiel Carrera and Steve Pearce and Melvin Upton Jr. also figure in the equation, Kendrys Morales could play LF in a pinch, and they have Dalton Pompey in the wings. Why would they give up one of their best prospects for a guy who is definitely on the decline?

Boston gets: Masahiro Tanaka
New York gets: Rafael Devers, Jason Groome and 1-2 minor prospects

This could happen at the trade deadline if tanaka repeats last seasons success, tgough it is unlikely because of the rivalry between these teams and the fact that they are in the same dicision.

But yankees get two top prospects, devrs would become their full time 3rd baseman and in Groome they get a pitcher whom they could develop into an ace.

Red sox get another elite pitcher to form the best rotation all time with Porcello, Sale, Price, Tanaka and Rodriguez/Wright/Pomeranz

That's about as likely as Trump receiving a vote from a gay black woman.

The chances this happens are so slim that there is no chance at all. One they are division rivals and hated rivals. One wouldn't make a trade to help the other. I dislike your reasoning for the prospects going to New York. Take a look at what they got for Chapman and Miller, then look at what the White Sox got for Sale. Its going to fall in between those. 4 prominent prospects would be the potential package for Tanaka.

3.) 07 Feb 2017 14:03:53
Considering there is almost zero chance of them making a trade and boston already trading solid prospects for sale there is no need for them to gut the farm at this point in time red sox pass.

Even if they aren't division rivals and hated franchises that is a huge overpay for Tanaka anyways.

I wouldn't like the yankees to trade for Quintana, after all the prospects they got for chapman and miller, so if not the yankees let the pirates get him.

White Sox / Pirates

Whitesox get:
Glasnow, Bell, Newman, Craig

Pirates get:
Quintana, Robertson

Here the white sox get the number 1,3,4,8 prospects in a very good prospect farm, Glasnow would further bolster a future rotation that should be deadly (Giolitto, Glasnow, Kopech, Lopez, Fulmer), Bell would be a position player with an inmense ability to hit for power, Newman has the tools to become a very good shortstop while playing along moncada and craig is just a nice throw in that could be very handy for the sox.

With this the white sox infield and rotation would be like:
Bell (1st base), Moncada (2nd), Craig (3rd) and Newman (SS)

Giolitto #1
Glasnow #2
Kopech #3
Lopez #4
Fulmer #5

And pittsburg gets another very good pitcher to pair with cole, taillon and nova without losing meadows, while in robertso they have a closer / set up guy who would strengthen there bullpen even more after the hudson signing.

That gets it done for sure. I think it hurts the pirates in the present a little too much which is why i'm not sure a deal is done between the two.

Also infield would be Bell, Newman, Anderson, and Moncada.

2.) 29 Dec 2016 23:12:40
This isn't very good the Pirates can't afford Robertson at all and the White Sox won't trade him with Quintana because it will dilute quintanas value.

Sorry to al Twins fan for not being able to get the dodgers to trade for Dozier, your GM must have been crazy to want calhoun and de leon together.

P. S I prefer forsythe than dozier

Ps you're insane Dozier is easily the best second baseman, excellent power, should've won MVP this past season or at least finished in top 3. He's a top 15 player imo Forsythe doesn't even crack top 100

2.) 25 Jan 2017 22:08:44
I agree with Mamba. There's no one on around baseball who realistically sees Forsythe as better.

The Dodgers moved on to Forsythe after they failed to get Dozier in a 1-for-1 move. It was known all along they favored Dozier.

3.) 26 Jan 2017 23:59:59
Listen to how his teammates are talking about Forsythe. Evan Longoria is upset with them trading him. Over the past few seasons they are comparable in WAR. Yeah Doizer hit 42 HRs last season but i would bank on Forsythe to stay consistant

4.) 29 Jan 2017 05:31:56
What does his clubhouse reputation have to do with his talent level?

Dozier is equally beloved by most of the Twins clubhouse. Your point is moot.

As a yankee I would do it, but as a whitesox I wouldn't. Frazier is worth much more than that even if its only for a year

Not enough!
Jose quintan would probably net bellinger, de leon and verdugo alone and with frazier a lot more.
