Possible deals I could see

Rays get: Brad Hand
Padres get: Willy Adames

Rockies get: Brandon Maurer
Phillies get: Yancy Almonte (11#), Peter Lambert

Rays deal seems a little unlikely as Adames is considered long term option at short but possible espcially with Padres need and if the Rays feel strong about their Ball club. Rockies deal might be a little of an underpay especially in division but those two trade partners make as much sense as any with the Rockies deep pitching farm system and their glaring need for a right handed reliever. Could throw in a mid low level prospect

Cullen-free

1.) 23 Jul 2017 13:00:29
Hand will bring a bigger return that that, and definetly more than Maurer.

2.) 23 Jul 2017 14:37:28
Brandon Maurer pitches for San Diego, not Philly.

3.) 23 Jul 2017 18:06:18
A. J. Preller and Dave Dombrowski are the only GMs who could possibly make a trade and send the return to other teams.

4.) 23 Jul 2017 23:07:27
Meant Padres my b this was late last night I was thinking of throwing in a pat neshek deal as well but I did not do my bad.

5.) 24 Jul 2017 00:51:23
I think the trade for Brad Hand is what the Padres will ask for, but I can't envision the Rays giving up Adames for him.

And the Padres could get more for Maurer.

Rox need a bat and bullpen arm and Marlins have been seen scouting the Rox system

Rox get: Ozuna and Ramos

Marlins get: McMahon, Almonte, Tapia, Castallini

Opinions?

Cullen-free

1.) 13 Jul 2017 21:43:32
I think it's a good idea for both teams, although I think Miami needs more pitching. Possibly Riley Pint or Jeff Hoffman. And if we're them I'd get David Dahl too to replace Ozuna and Yelich who is also likely to be moved.

2.) 14 Jul 2017 04:33:09
Marlins will want a lot more for Ozuna.

13 Jan 2017 03:26:12
Rockies trade: Jeff Hoffman, Raimel Tapia, Riley Pint, German Marquez

White Sox trade: Orlando Quintana

Rox have showed they r probably not going to trade Rodgers for any offer, so I thought about floating this idea out there. 2,3,4,5 prospects in rox system. Too much too little?

Cullen-free

1.) 13 Jan 2017 06:05:44
I don't see this as a mistype, so who is Orlando Quintana?

2.) 13 Jan 2017 14:18:16
Never heard of Orlando Quintana, so this would be too much for him.

Would it be enough for Jose Quintana? Yeah. Rox prospects fall in two categories: pitchers, whose value seems never to be much, and hitters, whose value always takes a hit when they leave the mountain air.

That said, I don't see the Rockies as one SP away from greatness.

3.) 13 Jan 2017 18:06:17
I'm sorry I was thinking of a soccer play named Orlando Quintana when I typed this my bad guys

4.) 13 Jan 2017 21:15:58
^^^Batman just does it to bully people on this site. Don't apologize or waste your energy explaining. He'd rather troll you.

5.) 14 Jan 2017 00:04:16
I do apologize since there is an actual person by that name, I also didn't see it as harsh or mean for that matter.

6.) 14 Jan 2017 02:23:06
He's the poster we deserve, not the one we need

7.) 14 Jan 2017 05:01:01
Batman you didn't do anything wrong

8.) 14 Jan 2017 13:22:28
yeah, i realized that after I posted the apology. I don't get why Huskers thought I did.

9.) 14 Jan 2017 15:50:12
Value is there, and if the Sox needed young pitchers, this would be a great deal. But they need hitters now. With that being said, I think Hahn would demand Rodgers or Dahl.

So it would look something like:

Rodgers/ Dahl
Tapia
Marquez

IMO

Rockies get: Jose Quintana, Dan Jennings
White Sox get: Riley Pint (3rd organizational prospect,39 overall), Brendan Rodgers (1 organizational prospect, 6th overall), Raimel Tapia (4th organizational prospect, 71 overall prospect), Gerardo Parra

Why for White Sox: They get three top 100 prospects and one future star in Brendan Rodgers. Parra provides decent upside for a couple years and is relatively cheap at 9 million, worse case scenario, he doesn't perform and you can release him and eat the 9 million.

Why for Rockies: They get the ace they need and a good reliever. Yes it is a steep price, but if they believe they can compete now, this is what it will take.

Cullen-free

1.) 11 Dec 2016 03:08:50
White Sox GM would not go for that. And shouldn't.

2.) 11 Dec 2016 14:11:45
As a sox fan, I'd take that. Future Infield of Moncada, Anderson, Rodgers and Abreu (if they hold onto him) .

3.) 11 Dec 2016 16:23:01
If I am the White sox I would honestly ask for Dahl in a trade for Quintana, they could have an infield of Davidson at 3rd Anderson at SS Moncada at 2nd and like in my last post I have them acquiring Christan Walker for the Orioles in a trade for Melky Cabrera so he could slot right into first base.

To me being a Rockies fan, the Ian Desmond signing doesn't make that much sense

What I think they will do:
Move Desmond to CF

Trade Blackmon to Blue Jays

Rockies get: Stroman
Blue Jays get: Blackmon, Peter Lambert (12 organizatizonal prospect)

Sign Chris Carter to 1yr/ 9 million dollar deal

Trade Kyle Freeland, Ryan McMahon to Rays for Colome.

Cullen-free

1.) 09 Dec 2016 09:22:27
Oh my god I really have no idea why I'm still on this site, it's gone downhill so fast. This is just awful, Desmond has played 1 season in the outfield, Coors field has one of the biggest outfields. Putting a basically inexperienced guy in the center makes zero sense at all. You can't go he's going to play CF when the front office has said he'll play 1st. Blue Jays would be dumb to trade Stroman for Blackmon due to the fact that Stroman has 3 more years of control, younger and quite frankly they need him for when Happ and Estradas numbers start getting bad (this season) .

That being said Carter deal won't happen.

Now to the last trade Colome cemented himself as a top young closer, with multiple years of control Rays won't trade him unless they get a huge package.

Overall this is bad I give it an F seems like you didn't even try.

2.) 09 Dec 2016 16:56:46
Mamba out u were the one that had Blackmon for a relieve and an average first base prospect Blackmon had a strong year and a stromatolites had a 4.37 era. Desmond played center field last year in Texas and that isn't an easy ball park to play center field.

Anyone else think it is an absolute joke Arenado was snubbed of final 3 on NL MVP ballot? I get it Rockies aren't that good but his number are rediculous, lead NL in homers, lead league in RBI's, hit .300, and is the best defensive third baseman in baseball.

Cullen-free

1.) 08 Nov 2016 02:15:39
I don't think it's a joke. He is definitely in the conversation obviously.

Couple reasons why, He plays in Colorado so his numbers are inflated and like you said, they aren't very good.

But yes, great player. Great year.

They could of taken Seager out, seeing how he's up for the rookie award.

2.) 08 Nov 2016 03:54:05
Thats what i was thinking about Dozier, excellent player but on a crappy team if you ask me multiple finalists shouldn't be finalists for instance Lester if the dude can't even throw to first why is he a finalist? If it wasnt for ross multiple players wouldve stolen even more bases than they did he's not that great.

3.) 08 Nov 2016 18:51:55
We judge pitchers on their ability to throw from the mound to home plate, not to first.

Jon Lester is very good at throwing to home plate. That's how he is a finalist.

4.) 08 Nov 2016 19:52:48
That's true but what I guess I was getting at is if you're in the running for Cy Young I expect you to be able to throw to home, and be able to hold runners at first because if you can't then you're a huge liability. I never realized how bad he is at throwing to first until the World Series when lindor was half way to second before Lester threw his pitch and all Lester did was watch him go back.

5.) 08 Nov 2016 20:17:14
He earned less than 2.5 runs per nine innings. Obviously it didn't matter one bit about runners taking second base on him, they rarely scored.

13 Oct 2016 00:05:39
Rockies get: Carlos Rodon
White Sox get: Cargo

Why: the White Sox are always in win now mode and they need another bat as they did not score enough runs last year. Cargo only has one season left until he is a free agent. Rodon has a solid end of the year and has the stuff to play at Coors field.

Cullen-free

1.) 13 Oct 2016 03:30:50
Yea but behind Sale Quintana and Rendon the White Sox do not have any really good starters. Would you rather have Rendon and Garcia or Cargo (Away from Coors Field) and James Shields. I think you know the answer to that one.

06 Oct 2016 20:08:44
Just wanted to hear your guys' thoughts on the trade value of Khris Davis. He isn't a free agent until 2020 -' did coming off a career year however he doesn't hit for a ton of average and strikes out his fair share.

Cullen-free

1.) 06 Oct 2016 22:38:14
Hes basically a younger Chris Davis, not sure how Khris is defensively but if he's good it adds to his value. Nowadays average doesn't seem to mean as much to some teams (cubs, jays) as it once did. Personally i'd put him as the third best OF available if the A's want to trade him behind Cespedes and Cutch, he could net a great return.

2.) 07 Oct 2016 14:07:55
He'll be 29 next season and has never put up anything more than a league average season, per WAR. He's not good defensively, he has no plate discipline.

People will admire him for his power, and it's certainly legitimate, but Mamba's evaluation is certainly over-the-top.

Due to his contract and control situation, someone will give up a decent piece or two for him, but I'm not sure he's much more than a glorified DH at this time.

3.) 07 Oct 2016 20:53:28
Its not over the top at all, he is arguably one of the best power bats in baseball, i'm just saying teams seem to be leaning towards power hitters with low averages. he's going to net at least 1 top 100 prospect in return maybe even 2 if the second is a low 100.

4.) 07 Oct 2016 22:19:44
If the Athletics don't tender Davis a contract, he doesn't get much more than Chris Carter.

He's got legitimate power, but he's not a good defender, he's one of the worst in terms of plate discipline. Dead last in swinging strike rate. He's not particularly fast and is one of the worst base runners in the league.

Again, the only major tool he has is power, and teams can find that anywhere.

He'd likely bring back a decent return, thanks in part to his contract, but no where close to 2 top 100 guys. Not even remotely close.

No one wants ellsbury I think that's the worst trade on here because Jenkins isn't awful, believe he was the other player involved in the heyward and Miller deal and plus all these other deals the opposing team to the yanks get screwed.

U r a dilusional mets fan, I'm sorry but this never ever happens not even in MLB the show when u can control both the astros and the Mets. Springer is an MVP candidate and even if you took out all of the other players in this deal, it still doesn't happen, and then u add in three good young prospects, NO. A better deal would look like Degrom and Bruce for Martes and tucker and Pauline but that's still iffy.
