Rockies trade Cargo for Wheeler Conforto.

Cullenfree1

1.) 10 Jul 2016 03:12:50
Not a chance the mets do this.

2.) 10 Jul 2016 03:22:53
Don't think Mets would do it.

3.) 13 Jul 2016 16:03:17
Anything is possible but they aren't trading conforto and wheeler.

Orioles trade: Jonothan Schoop, Hunter Harvey, Trey Manchini
Braves trade: Julio Tehran

Orioles get pitching, the Braves get a young bat and a couple decent prospects.

Cullenfree1

1.) 07 Jul 2016 03:04:24
Orioles probably don't want to give up Schoop.

2.) 07 Jul 2016 03:06:11
3 decent prospects to Atl. That's what it would take to get him. I do like Schoop though. Orioles do need pitching bad if they are going to make a run.

Good trade.

3.) 07 Jul 2016 04:26:08
Cullen, I actually like this deal. Teheran would be the ace the Orioles badly need.

I don't think it will happen, but I like your thinking outside the box.

4.) 07 Jul 2016 08:09:55
For the record, I think it's a very fair trade.

Just doesn't seem like an Orioles type deal.

5.) 07 Jul 2016 11:03:49
Yeah they probably wouldn't give up Schoop. Him and Machado are the only the really good young guys they have.
Don't know enough about their prospects in the minors but they better hope they have enough of them because I think they actally need to bring in a couple starters. Probably mid tier guys.

6.) 07 Jul 2016 14:59:09
The only way they give up Scoop is if the Braves include Aybar who the O's could move to 2nd for the rest of the season. Other than that no deal.

7.) 07 Jul 2016 15:35:45
I cannot see any deal hinging on Aybar.

8.) 07 Jul 2016 16:30:00
The misspellings from Yo and the misspellings for Crazysull seem rather consistent. Just sayin'

9.) 07 Jul 2016 17:02:37
I mean they would want Aybar to replace Scoop for now just like the Simmons deal didn't need Aybar to be included but they wanted to bridge the gap to Swanson and the other guy they have (I forget his name) so they would just want someone that can help fill in till their in prospects are ready or till the offseason and sign a free agent.

10.) 07 Jul 2016 17:57:32
I am not Yo by the way I am not that bad and plus I am a Sox fan so I would never have posted let alone thought of that Ortiz trade.

11.) 07 Jul 2016 22:18:56
I just want to point out a couple of things, a couple people said the O's need an ace which i completely disagree with Tillman is their ace right now, he's pitching like one this year. 11-2 with almost 8 K/ 9 80.5% LOB which is really good especially when you compare it to his other seasons, 42% GB 3.55 ERA, 4.29 FIP 1.5 WAR. The dude is pitching very well in the hitter friendly AL East.

Imo O's are a more balanced team than the blue jays and red sox, if the O's can get a couple 2/ 3 starters they can make a deep run in the post season i really like this team and imo they're the second best in the AL behind Cleveland.

12.) 08 Jul 2016 00:11:20
Tillman is definitely their #1 right now and has had a very good first half. I don't think anybody would have predicted it. That being said, I don't think you could call him an ace unless he is truly back to his form a few years back.
I'm a long time Jays fan and my opinion on the AL east would be that it's going to be a dog fight to the end between Bos-Balt-Tor of course.

If Bosox or O's would of had Jays starting pitching in first half, They would be well ahead by now. And the opposite for the Jays. If they had decent hitting and Bullpen for the first 3 months, they would be well ahead. Jays starting pitching has really kept them in it.

Plain and simple.

Jays need bullpen and another outfielder
Bosox need starting pitching and Bullpen
And Baltimore needs starting pitching and a little help in the Pen.
If any of these teams get this help at the trade deadline, They will be teams I wouldn't want to face in October.
Cleveland (just watched them a live a couple games last weekend) Great starter, average Pen but need some more pop in their lineup. very good team.
Detroit- great hitting team
KC- need starters and to get healthy

Texas will be hard to beat if they get healthy again. very complete team.
And Houston is coming on.

AL is tight this year.

Just my two cents. like to hear others opinions.

13.) 08 Jul 2016 01:11:32
The Orioles could make a move for someone like Hellickson and be fine. No need for them to get crazy.

I don't think the Red Sox or the Blue Jays hold on at the end.

14.) 08 Jul 2016 01:15:45
Yes I think the misspellings between sull and Yo are an interesting coincidence. But Sull to me didn't butcher names as bad.

15.) 08 Jul 2016 01:32:31
O's have Tillman and really nobody else right now. I'm very suprised they are hanging on. hitting defence and well coached.
Hellickson could help but they need someone more.
I honestly believe whoever addresses their needs the most at the deadline will eventually pull away.

16.) 08 Jul 2016 02:17:38
I agree thejerk, a guy like Hellickson would be a good fit for them, and i don't believe in the Red Sox they still don't have that good of a rotation and bullpen. The blue jays need a lot of bullpen and starting pitching help, plus they focus on the long ball too much imo which will be their downfall. Again.

Rockies need to do a mini sell

Rockies get; Rob Kaminsky
Indians get: Boone Logan

Rockies get: Reynaldo Lopez, Andrew Stevenson
Nationals get: Charlie Blackmon.

Cullenfree1

1.) 06 Jul 2016 05:34:17
Rob Kaminsky is a legitimate prospect. The Indians would never trade him for a reliever.

30 Jun 2016 23:15:54
Rockies trade: Carlos Gonzalez, Boone Logan
Cubs trade: Kyle Schwarber, Duane Underwood, Dylan Cease.

Cullenfree1

1.) 01 Jul 2016 02:37:41
I forgot to mention the Rockies get Gleyber Torres not Duane Underwood.

2.) 01 Jul 2016 05:04:08
Comical overpay.

3.) 01 Jul 2016 06:09:35
Is it an overpay with underwood.

4.) 01 Jul 2016 06:15:53
U know forget the first comment I made it's the trade stroaght up.

5.) 01 Jul 2016 11:29:56
Honestly that trade looks pretty decent (with Underwood not Torres) . Probably not everyone would think so but that would give them a piece that would allow for other big trades as well, mainly for pitching.

6.) 01 Jul 2016 12:39:59
The Cubs would be stupid to do this deal, I know it is Cargo but Schwarber is still young and in a few years they will have an outfield of Schwarber Hayward and Almora Jr. and other who could be competing for a spot as well. If the Cubs were smart they should just go after some mid level relivers and give up someone like Solar for them. I would then until Fowler returns play Bryant in the outfield and Beaz at third and then when Fowler returns move Almora Jr. to left field. I would also keep Contres behind the plate because that is where he will be used next year full time i predict so no point to move him to the outfield.

7.) 01 Jul 2016 13:39:53
You really can't claim you meant another player of another. You typed it so therefore you meant it. Also I don't really think the Cubs need another outfielder, unless I'm missing something.

20 Jun 2016 22:08:46
Rockies trade: Carlos Gonzalez
Cubs trade: Jorge Soler, Duane Underwood, Oscar De La Cruz

Cubs get another bat while the Rockies get a future clean up hitter who would rake at coors Field and two young pitchers.

Cullenfree1

1.) 21 Jun 2016 01:13:55
If people wanted to give up key assets for Jorge Soler, it would have happened this winter. Him being injured makes him even less valuable.

2.) 21 Jun 2016 02:04:49
I agree with Jerk. The Cubs have to get him into the lineup to build up his value; then, they would have a chance to flip him for an upgrade such as CarGo.

3.) 21 Jun 2016 02:18:55
Cubs fans have always over-valued their guys, but Jorge Soler takes the cake. That dude is insanely overrated.

4.) 21 Jun 2016 03:36:07
I think the fever regarding Yasiel Puig and Jose Abreu a few years back caused MLB execs to over-value all Cuban players. Look at Rusney Castillo and Soler, and I think execs may show a little more caustion over the next few years.

5.) 21 Jun 2016 06:05:43
I am a Rockies fan btw and I proposed this trade because I felt like Soler has a chance to be something special despite his struggles.

6.) 21 Jun 2016 14:43:15
Cullen, he could yet. The guy is young.

7.) 21 Jun 2016 14:46:41
That's fine, but you don't trade CarGo for a "chance"

Should the Rockies be buyers or sellers.

Cullenfree1

1.) 16 Jun 2016 02:30:52
They shouldn't make any major moves imo, they're headed in the right direction. I feel they should make moved this offseason, if things go south trade Cargo for MLB ready prospects and go from there. If they stay in contention then go after big names. Basically this year isn't their year to make playoffs but they'll be good imo.

2.) 16 Jun 2016 03:23:34
Well, they have an extremely good core of position players, but their pitching staff as a whole is atrocious. However, they do have one of the most highly regarded farm systems in the MLB. So my thought is, Sell Cargo at the deadline, and free up some money, while they wait for their young prospects to continue developing in he minors. They could also sell high on veterans like Mark Reynolds and Parra.
