Yankees have Apparently Been discussing Starlin Castro
KC Gets Starlin Castro
NYY Gets Eric Skoglund and Peter O'Brien
The Royals get a good offensive and defensive 2B who has had a good career with The Cubs and the Yankees so far and is only 26. Right now, KC has Whit Merrifield, but he can play almost anywhere.
The Yankees get 2 MLB ready prospects. Skoglund could be a good LHP for the future since the only lefty they have now is Justus Sheffield. They also get Peter O' Brien who could play left field for a while and maybe be a key bench power bat.
Then,
BAL Gets Brett Gardner
NYY Gets Austin Hays and Garrett Cleavinger
If the Yankees would trade Gardner to the Jays, then why not to the O's? He'd probably do better than Kim since the Orioles kind of need a better LF as of now.
The Yankees get Austin Hays who could be a future outfielder in a few years and also get another future rotation option in Cleavinger, who did well this year.
This is probably unlikely, but does it make sense whatsoever?

TB-LAA-PHI
LAA Gets:
(TB) Jake Odorizzi, Genesis Cabrera
(PHI) Jake Thompson, Cornelius Randolph, Rhys Hoskins
PHI Gets:
(TB) Alex Cobb
(LAA) Tyler Skaggs, Cam Bedrosian
TB Gets:
(LAA) CJ Cron, Jose Alvarez
(PHI) Mark Appel, Andrew Knapp
WARNING: I AM VERY ELABORATIVE
Angels get a good prospect package as they are trying to improve their farm system. Genesis Cabrera is a future back end starter but has some good stuff. Randolph could be the future left fielder. Rhys Hoskins could also be the future first baseman. He hit 38 HR With about 115 RBI Last year. They also get 2 solid pitchers in Odorizzi and Thompson.
The Phillies do give up some of their prospects, but they get 3 pretty good pitchers. Alex Cobb could give them a solid bounce back year. Before he got hurt, he was an ace. They get 2 young pitchers in Tyler Skaggs who has lots of potential. The Phillies do not have a left handed starter. Cam Bedrosian is a solid pitcher to have in the bullpen.
The Rays are looking to find another right handed hitter and CJ Cron could be a fit. If not, they could get Jefry Marte. Cron is underrated IMO. He can hit for average and has 20 HR Power. That is the hitter the rays need. They also get Jose Alvarez who is a nice lefty addition to the bullpen. From the Phillies, they get Mark Appel. He is ready to pitch in the big leagues and would be a nice option if he can stay healthy. Andrew Knapp gives the Rays their future catcher since the Phils right now have Jorge Alfaro as the future backstop.
This may be a bit too much but what are your opinions?

There is almost zero chance the Rays move Odorizzi for that package.
Also, I'm laughing at this phrase: "The Rays are looking to find another right handed hitter and CJ Cron could be a fit. If not, they could get Jefry Marte. "
You could get a t-bone, or bologna. It's all the same.

Don't know if you missed it or what expos, but they are moving odorizzi and cobb for that package. Horrible trade for the rays.
3.) 01 Feb 2017 11:46:07
Wow. Rays get screwed in this one.
4.) 01 Feb 2017 13:50:55
The Angels aren't giving up enough to receive a return like that. The Phillies are giving up to much and getting little in return. And the Rays give up to much and get little in return.

Good lord the Angels make out like bandits

This is terrible

Greg Bird is doing horribly right now. But that doesn't mean that they sign a player that probably hasn't even played in an MLB game this year. Greg Bird is fine. It's only his first full season. Give him some time.

It's a start, but many prospects need to be included as well, including pitching.

Jays rejected Stroman for Blackmon, they're not trading him and Sanchez for prospects not even in the top 100.

Rays aren't giving up their future. The rays wouldn't do this, and as a fan, I wouldn't think it's good for the rays.

This is a bad trade for both teams, but if this happened, the royals win this trade. The Dodgers infield is set with A-Gon, Forsythe, Seager and Turner.
They get 1 year of Moustaukas and Hosmer who would be blocked so where would they play? Cain would be the only one that would start. Mondesi has potential, but when he's blocked by Seager and Willie Calhoun next year, how will he contribute?
Meanwhile, the Royals boost their future with Urias and Stripling to help their rotation and bullpen, and Joc Pederson is their starting CF.
The Royals win this trade, but the Dodgers would never do this. If they wanted to trade all of their players, they would be better trading them in separate deals. You get a better future when you trade one for multiple players.

I think If Yonder Alonso goes Elsewhere, Oakland could be a nice fit. Boston, Mets, Rangers could also go for him.

The Brewers won't trade Thames. They're in 2nd place right now, and they could be a surprise. Next year, they could be legit. I say they are keepers at the deadline, which means you don't buy, but you don't sell.

Looks like a really good team. Maybe they'll win their 30th World Series with this team.

Very Interesting. If this is true, the Angels better trade him quickly. Yes, they will probably be dead last if they trade him but it is the only way to get a better future. I even have possible scenarios of what teams could have the players to get him. I even have the White Sox and The Padres but if these teams would be willing to give up there future, i have scenarios. Interested in seeing them?
