Pretty simple Royals-Cardinals trade:
Royals get Jhonny Peralta
Cardinals get Bubba Starling and Reymond Fuentes
That let's Wong get consistent ABs again and get a possible outfield replacement with upside for Holliday when he can't move anymore. The Royals get a bandaid at 3rd with Moustakas out for the year and a possible DH next year when Morales is gone.

Cards are in the wild card race; thus, they wouldn't do this.

It's not about being sellers for the Cards though. They want Wong to play ever day at the major league level. They could use the outfield help now and in the future more than they need the slight upgrade of Peralta over Wong.
