i've been posting some of my ideas for blue jays offseasons lately and this one is rather simple and one of my favorites

red sox are reportedly on the verge of signing hanley and the panda to big deals so now I suppose it will be harder for them to reach a big deal with lester.

cubs are apparently in the lead for lester but after the jays make a trade to clear a bit of cap I say we go all in and sign him

dodgers receive buehrle , navarro , goins

jays receive ethier, barney

jays sign lester 5y 125 mil
jays sign gregerson 4y 24mil

1.) By acquiring Either, the said freed up salary has not been freed up.

2.) This is not really a good proposal.

The Jays need to trade Bautista while he still has some value.

3.) In that proposed trade the Blue Jays would save at most about 3 mil. As for Lester 5yrs 125mil, its probably going to be 6 to 7yrs at about 160 to 180mil and the way teams are already being stupid with money *cough, cough* those numbers might not get it done.

4.) I love how you think the blue jays can get everyone they want.

5.) Kind of like Angels getting Wilson and Pujols one off season

two different ideas for the blue jays offseason

1st idea)

sign the panda 5y 102.5 mill

trade navarro to la for ethier

2nd idea)

again trade navarro to la for ethier I like that trade

then

reyes and happ to the mets for daniel murphy and zach wheeler

jays sign jed lowrie to play short

1.) Sandoval is almost certainly going to goto Boston. Its very hilarious that you think Navarro will get the Blue Jays Andre Eithier. Dodgers would want prospects.

Where is all this money coming from? I could see a couple mil being given out on the front end of Martin's deal. not the back end.

Also, I don't think the Mets are willing to give up Wheeler in a trade. They seem to like him a lot.

3.) As a mets fan i'd kill to see reyes in a mets jersey again but that being said he's not worth Wheeler. Maybe Murphy, Montero and Matt den Dekker for Reyes and Rob Rasmussen? Honestly, I wish it were possible but I really just don't see a deal between them unless Toronto picks up a bunch of money which I don't see them doing. However as a fan, having reyes back would be similar to when tom seaver came back after leaving.

1.) That trade is one sided. Navarro for a pitcher like Holland? I don't think so.

The Blue Jays have some money to work with on the front end of Martin's deal. but not at the end. They don't have a ton of money to spend.
