So a soon to be free agent, a guy who is most likely going to be non tendered, an injured prospect, and then a shortstop for one of the best players in baseball who is on an extremely team friendly deal. Seems fair

so pirates get a guy who plays 1B who can hit for a triple crown and a utility man who is getting up there in age for a decent first baseman, a 2nd baseman who has been on fire lately, a shortstop prospect who is nearly ready and is one of the best minor leaguers and a future #1/#2 guy
eventually we would have to pay goldschmidt more money than those four players combined, even when they all make the majors (estimated 20M for 4 players), Goldschmidt (estimated 25-30M). we would be paying more money and have 3 less positions filled.

Pirates should trade for Carlos Gonzalez. Howcome no one has mentioned this or rumors because I think its a great idea

2. He isn't durable
And trading for a player that costs you a lot and can't stay healthy isn't a good mix at all.
