Jayson Werth would not remember ever being this productive in a game, that is that included Little League. Werth homered in his 1st 3 at bats and tied a Phillies record with 8 RBIs in a 10-3 triumph over the Blue Jays Friday. "Anything can happen on any given day, I guess", Werth said.

Vernon Wells will go from leading the Blue Jays in home runs and RBIs to leading the team in cheers. The 2 time All Star outfielder was placed on the 15 day DL Saturday with a broken left wrist and expects to miss 6 to 8 weeks.

An extra inning grand slam sent the Tampa Bay Rays home feeling good after an 9 game road trip that had its ups and downs. Dioner Navarro hit a grand slam in the 13th inning after Carl Crawford drove in the go ahead run with a sacrifice fly and the Rays beat the Blue Jays 8-3 Thursday night.

Shaun Marcum gave Toronto another outstanding pitching display and the Blue Jays feeble offense gave the right hander some runs to work with for a change. Marcum came within an out of a shutout, Scott Rolen hit a 2 run homer and the Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-2 Wednesday.

The White Sox would not ask for much more from their pitchers right now. After a winless road trip, however, Chicago's hitters have a lot to answer for. Dustin McGowan outpitched Javier Vazquez in an entertaining duel, and Matt Stairs homered to help the Blue Jays beat the slumping White Sox 1-0 Monday night for a 4 game sweep.
