Red Sox Receive: Drew Pomeranz (SP), Ryan Buchter (RP)

Padres Receive: Rafael Devers (3B), Trey Ball (LHP), Michael Kopech (RHP), Luis Alexander Basabe (OF)

giving up that much for Pomeranz and Buchter is kind of foolish. Pomeranz has really only been good for this one season as a starter. All the other years not so much. Who know's he could be a one year wonder or only good half the season. And Buchter is a rookie.

The Sox are incredibly high on Devers, and since Pomeranz is still not tested over time, this would not be smart for Boston.

point is its to much for a pitcher who is having the best season of his career in a very small sample size of the season, and a rookie.
