The Giants will not do a lot of this stuff. They don't need Soto because they already have Susac and Sanchez as backup options. They don't have enough money to sign Maeda, and they won't sacrifice a draft pick for Robertson. Morse is likely gone as well, and Pagan won't be on the bench. Trading for Plouffe and signing Rasmus I do see as possibilities, but Rasmus would play left and the Twins wouldn't accept that trade. They have Miguel Sano coming up to play 3B and they already have Suzuki and Pinto to catch. And this roster only has 24 players.

1. Susac seems much more adequate to back-up Posey than Soto does.

2. Pagan, when healthy, will not be on the bench.

3. I don't see the Giants giving up that much money for a guy like Robertson.

4. Maeda will cost a ton. start with about $20M for the bid, then his contract.

I like the Plouffe idea if the Giants can resign Sandoval. I'm also okay with bringing back Morse on a team-friendly deal, but I'd imagine he'd be more of a back-up.
