I think the Mets should try to trade for Jordy Mercer a good quality under rated shortstop and that the pirates have that korian ss/2nd baseman they have the ability to trade mercer and it wouldn't take as much to get him as it would to get a let's say a tulo or desmond.
I don't know what the trade would look like but it shouldn't take high quality prospects to get him though.
I think the mets will look like this next season (this isn't the batting order)
C:d'Arnaud
1st:Duda
2nd:Murphie
SS:Mercer
3rd:Wright
OF:Cudyer
OF:Granderson
OF:Laggers
And I think they will keep Florz because of Weight can't stay healthy they can move Murphie to 3rd and play him at second

Pitching will be
What it is now minus Gee and plus Syndigaurd

I have made my decision

Pittsburgh gets: Gee, Den Decker

Mets get: Mercer, Tabita, PTBNL

Firstly it's Murphy, secondly I don't think the pirates trade away mercer when the Korean guy hasn't even played a game for them yet and don't know if his numbers can translate which probably won't because the kbo is a high offensive league. Plus they see him kinda like a josh Harrison but with worse defense

A guy who has posted 2 WAR in the last two seasons and has 4 more years of team control. it will take you more that to get Mercer.

Add in Tabata, that package would make the Pirates just laugh.

No one is just going to give the Mets a shortstop.

They will get one, and tabata hardly plays and I was going off another post where someone told me the Pirates would need to give up more for gee and that is what I did the Pirates outfeild is muccution marte and Polanco and the first 2 bats off the branch Is hart and shaw so tabata won't be a big loss and the Korean will do well I think so I think this trade will happen and it works for both teams

This is either a troll or you need to be educated. Secondly, you are downgrading the team by playing mercer over Flores, don't get me wrong Flores isn't an all star but def better.

Most likely package for Gee: A guy for their 25-man roster who can play every 5th day or be a little used reliever.

Best case package: a controllable SS option like Mercer.

2nd most likely: 2 low-end prospects.

The Mets don't even have Gee in their starting rotation. If they thought he had a ton of trade value, he'd be gone by now.

You're right, Tabata hardly played, in fact, he was DFA'd last year. and with Snider and Polanco, he won't see any playing time this year in Pittsburgh.

The Mets couldn't even get Tabata for Gee. The guy has next to no trade value.

Flores Average .251 runs 28 HR 6 RBI 26 SB 1

Mercer average .255 runs 56 HR 12 RBI 55 SB 4

Mercer is better in every category so don't try to tell me that Flores is better than Mercer

Flores is only 23 and only has 375 career plate appearances. Mercer has nearly three times that.

You can't really compare their careers at this point.
