Phillies get Kole Calhoun, Andrew Heaney and Chris Ellis

Angels get Cole Hamels

No way. Calhoun is the most underated player in the game. Heaney will be an Angel through 2020 and a top pitching prospect who is MLB ready. Which the Angels have been waiting for a while. Ellis was the Third round pick from last years draft, no way they deal him so early. Plus all of them will be cheaper than what Hamels will make in one year.

This is not unfair, but it won't get done, either. The Angels are finally realizing they need to keep their younger guys.

The Phils, to me, match well with Boston for a Hamels trade.

As a Phils fan, I agree they match best with the Red Sox. However, it seems as though the Sox disagree. They don't want to trade top prospects (can't blame them for that) and Phils won't give Hamels up for less.

They can't trade Ellis he was drafted last year. they have to wait a year after he was signed in order to trade him. That's the reason trea turner isn't a national yet because he was drafted last year. only way is to say he's a "player to be named later"
