ANGELS CUBS TRADE

Long Shot but I think this one will benefit both teams here

ANGELS GET
Jorge Soler

CUBS GET
CJ Wilson + 10 million
Christopher Ellis

Solar could be a stretch here, they could go after Baez as a second option. Ellis wouldn't be offered if Baez though

The deal would make sense for both teams, The Cubs have an excess of young bats with little pitching. The addition of CJ as veteran lefty to their rotation could help them down the long run of the season. It works for the Angels in that they get a new young bat they can build with immediately, Plus the move allows the Angels to have Andrew Heaney permanently in the rotation, The Angels need to get ready for the post Weaver rotation, which will have Richards, Heaney, Skaggs, Newcomb, Santiago, and Trapeano as options for the rotation.

"Soler could be a bit of a stretch. "

That is the overstatement of the century.

Theo and Jed would spit on the people who offer them this. They want young controllable arms, CJ Wilson is neither and comes with a big $ value. And Soler hold much more value than CJ Wilson!

As an angel fan i'd love this, but it would take one of Heaney, Newcomb, or Tropeano to get a bat like Soler.
