I think all of us are under the impression that washington needs to get rid of jonathan papelbon, given his brief history there.

one team that could use bullpen reinforcements is minnesota, which could match papelbon with current closer glen perkins for a nice tandem

minnesota sends reliever casey fien and first baseman kennys vargas to nationals. washington then has a complement to first baseman ryan zimmerman while fien takes papelbon's place in the bullpen, and storen takes over closer duties.

Twins are one of the teams that Papelbon can block a trade to, and I doubt the Twins would want that clubhouse cancer around all their young guys.
