ANGELS OFFSEASON PLAN

NEEDS
1. A Good Starter
2. Lefty Reliever
3. Bench Bat
4. Payroll Relief

MOVE 1:
Trade 3B David Freese and RHP Fernando Salas to the Red Sox for
prospect LHP Eduardo Rodriguez, some cash relief, and a PTBNL.
Angels do it for young talent and payroll relief, Red Sox do it to get third baseman and a solid relief pitcher

MOVE 2
Sign RHP Brandon McCarthy (2/18)

Angels do it for a guy that can pitch like an ace at times and when he gets cold, Hector Santiago can fill in

MOVE 3
Sign LHP Tom Gorzelanny (1/3)

He pitched well, and he might be a decent LOOGY, why not?

MOVE 4
Sign INF/OF Emilio Bonifacio (2/6)

He will be a nice, good, multi-position playing, speedy neck guy that the Angels need

Go Halos!

1.) 30 Oct 2014
Why would the Red Sox trade and good prospect for 2 washed up players

2.) 30 Oct 2014
The McCarthy deal you've provided at the value you've indicated is unlikely.

The good starter seems to be missing from the return on any of the four parts of your deal.

Other than throwing with his left arm, why would anyone want anyone want Tom G?. and

Emilio Bonifacio is okay. he's much better than all the utility guys currently on the roster.

Missing on the # 1 priority. makes your offseason a fail.

3.) 31 Oct 2014
The Sox aren't trading E-Rod, who has No. 2 upside, for a replacement-level player who is only marginally better than Will Middlebrooks and a middle relieve

4.) 31 Oct 2014
If your idea of a good starter is Brandon McCarthy, then I wish you were in every one of my fantasy baseball leagues. Wow.

5.) 31 Oct 2014
^ Brandon McCarthy was actually really good with the Yankees this year
