Cubs offseason:

Sign Ian Desmond 4/100 million

Resign Fowler 4/55 million

Trade Baez and Castro and Vogelbach to Yankees for Pinada, Miller and either drew or Pirela

Trade Low leavel prospect(s) to Padres for Bud Norris.

Keep Bullpen the same but with addition of Bud Norris as a long relief pitcher And Anderw Miller as late inning guy or maybe even as the new closer.

They become even more unstopable and more capable to win it all next year if they don't do it this year.

Stephen Drew is a FA so it can't be in the trade and Ian Desmond WILL not go to the Cubs and get 25M per year. The Cubs don't need another infielder

You lost me (and anyone else who knows anything about baseball) when you said the Cubs would sign Ian Desmond. Yeah, that's going to happen.

So why would the Cubs need to sign Desomond? He's worse than Castro. Plus they have Russell and Baez.

Last I checked Castro can't hit nearly as well as Desmond
