I could see maybe Elias Diaz being paired with Melancon in a possible deal. I believe Ramos is a free agent next season and Diaz is MLB ready.
It's hard to guess the return for Melancon though. I doubt he gets dealt at all.

Odorizzi is 3-4 at best. You aren't getting a top 20 prospect in baseball, and a 21 year old who has torn up the minors in his career and has a cannon of a right arm.
I think the Rays could find a better deal for Archer, no team will match the deal you said wouldn't even get Odorizzi.

The Rays have been known to have insane asking prices for Archer/ Odorizzi.
This doesn't qualify as "insane price". This would get you a middle of the rotation starter with a controllable contract. Certainly not Archer or Odorizzi.

Melancon is nowhere near as good as Chapman, why should he get anywhere near as good a return?
Melancon would bring back a solid return, but holy cow folks, the Chapman trade was the top extreme, everything else will be far, far less.

They are pretty even in almost all those categories the only thing Chapman is way better than him at is K/ 9.

Advanced stats highly favor Chapman. It's not even close.
I'm curious where you got Chapman's FIP number from? Chapman's is a 1.80, Melancon's a 2.27.
If the scouts thought Melancon was anywhere near as valuable as Chapman, someone would have paid a similar price for him.
